The Help

First off...wow what a great book. I loved every second of it and couldnt put it down.
Second, Im happy I read the book first the movies almost always ruin it. The book is always better.

Third, I wish I lived in the 50s. Random I know, but I love the sophistication and etiquette back then. I loved the values and morals. Everything seemed so much more simple..aside from the diversion of blacks and whites...but still.

It just seems so much simpler and easy. Sitting out back and drinking a co-cola :) Men had to support their families and there were values to marriage. Unlike now....marriage is in and out the window or "overrated"

I guess that is what me and Charlie have in common we love history. Well he loves war history...but I love the history of america. Some of it makes me sad tho. Reading this book did hit some real soft spots. But its what made us to day....I dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing really.

I highly recommend this book. Its really good.
Now for the movie I dont know yet.
